Morning Platitude from The GratiDude
I am reminded of the physical energetic level of the interconnectedness of all human beings when I see someone experience extreme joy and gratitude. When I see truly authentic tears of joy and the expressions of deep appreciation, simultaneously it moves me beyond words.
It also fans the flames of my desire to help others, and to share the secrets of ways you can release limiting beliefs through embracing simple daily practices and leveraging the neuroscience of gratitude. Through my work with Rob Toomey, and the folks at TypeCoach over the last year I’ve learned a great deal about all the myriads of ways that people may or may not feel comfortable expressing themselves which are based upon personality types, and some pretty deep hardwiring. So now I understand a little bit more that some of this joy and appreciation sentiment is not as easily visible in the behaviors of many types of people, especially most folks that are on the introvert side of the personality spectrum.
In short, I have become less concerned about the outward displays(laughter, verbalization of feelings) and more focused on simply the process of making sure I can acknowledge and share positive energy with as many people as possible during my movements around town or wherever I’m going. This also applies to correspondence and digital media or any type of communication, electronic or otherwise.
I have been personally exploring, understanding any and all of my own limiting beliefs, and where those might be stored either in my body or in my different memories, and making sure that I know I can release those limits through my breath work and through envisioning the manifestation of dreams and ambitions that I have as the counter measure to any fear-based scarcity thoughts.
What I’m looking to do is to feel in my body, not just in my thoughts and feelings, but in my very tissue, the future state of all of the beautiful things that I can participate in and help bring to the people in an effort to spread the message of self-reliance through gratitude and personal practice. We know we can store trauma and pain and suffering from emotional situations in parts of our body, conversely we can also store future greatness, visions of accomplishments and positive energy and direction for our organism and turn one of life’s “down spirals” into what my new mentor and friend Michael terms “upspiraling your life”.
When you are doing this type of work and playing offense and working on yourself to get better, you obviously you need great teammates around you and you need to be incredibly careful what fuel you are putting into ears, mind and heart.
The current domestic new cycle here in the USA after the election, and with all the activities, relative to administrative change in policy change, I am finding the level of fear and toxicity to be way beyond anything I’ve ever seen. So, I am completely abstaining from any type of news as it is simply NOT SAFE for my mental health. Seriously, that shit is like rat poison for your spirit. I’m relying more on international news right now until a lot of the hyperbole, venom and extremism weed itself out of the regular news cycle(hopefully).
If you’re consuming a bunch of news right now, I don’t think you realize the amount of fear and toxic energy that is racing through your mind and impacting your thought loop. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with taking a few days off from watching the news or checking in on headlines and I guarantee you won’t miss much and if something important is happening everybody else is so stuck on the phone and in the cycle that they will let you know about it believe me. Just like the guy at yoga class couple of months ago that wanted to make sure I knew all about the drones up in New Jersey and how it was probably the end of the world coming(I tried to calm the dude down so I told him that’s just ET delivering me a pizza from the Cosmos….don’t sweat it).
I like to impact the new cycle for you all by giving you a giant shot of dopamine and an example of what deep gratitude, appreciation and love look like in the morning.
Yes, seeing other people joyful is considered good for your health as it can boost your own mood and well-being through a phenomenon called “positive empathy” or “emotional contagion,” where witnessing someone else’s happiness can activate similar neural pathways in your brain, leading to feelings of happiness in yourself; this can also strengthen social connections and increase life satisfaction.
Key points about the benefits of seeing others joyful:
Positive emotions spread:
When you see someone happy, their positive emotions can be contagious, influencing your own mood to become more positive.
Mirror neurons:
Our brains have mirror neurons that activate when we observe someone else’s emotions, allowing us to “feel” what they are feeling to some extent.
Social connection:
Sharing in someone else’s joy can strengthen your bond with them and foster a sense of community.
Reduced stress:
Witnessing positive emotions can help to counteract stress and improve overall mental well-being.
Increased prosocial behavior:
Feeling happy about someone else’s success can motivate you to be kind and helpful towards others.
We are tightening up the last details of our coaching program that will launch in mid-April and we are going to help everyone build their own personal morning program and completely elevate their life through simple daily practices that only require a few minutes and will pay dividends for the rest of your life.
I look forward to selling you(buckle up buckaroo 🙂 the most valuable service and product I’ve ever been associated with: the power of mindfulness wellness, basic self-talk, and the release of all limiting beliefs and barriers to the pursuit of our own personal greatness.
All fueled by chunky almond butter and honey sandwiches with banana, and an attitude of gratitude.
