Morning Platitude from The GratiDude
It is totally logical that when you begin skydiving, the act of strapping a parachute to your back and voluntarily jumping out of a plane at high altitude, you may want some company for that.
As well as somebody that’s done it before and knows that you can survive doing it if you take certain precautions and use certain tools of the trade.
This is a life-or-death situation and you’ve got to be trusting the person that is strapped to your back as they are the ones pulling the rip chord for the parachute.
The good news is guided meditation is not as scary nor is meditating a life-or-death situationO(though it delays death and improves your health, but I am getting ahead of myself).
It’s hard to know the exact statistics however it is estimated that about one and a half percent of Americans have tried skydiving, which makes this practice even more rare than meditating regularly.
About 6% of people meditate regularly and that number is climbing daily, according to global health and wellness statistics that are available.
It is estimated that about 10% of the population will be meditating within 20 years, which gives me hope for human civilization to survive. However, 20 years is a long wait to elevate the collective consciousness so fingers crossed.
Without meditation, I never could’ve quit drinking alcohol after 30 years of semi-professional drinking. I knew I had to rewire my brain and get in there and tackle self-induced insanity that I was experiencing in the form of my everyday drinking of alcohol, which left me poisoned, tired and full of anxiety.
Meanwhile, on the outside, I gave all my energy away every single day. I always hit sales numbers and lead a sales team with positive energy and enthusiasm. I was the one that told everyone in my family I love them every single day and had absolutely nothing left for Kevin except a few fistfuls of vodka and a Xanax to go to sleep.
Everyone else got all the good because I felt like I didn’t deserve it.
That shit was killing me.
I had to get my meditation on and start unwinding all the lies I had told myself.
Yes, meditation can be beneficial for heart health. By reducing stress and lower blood pressure, it can help improve cardiovascular health and reduce the risk of heart disease.
Here’s how meditation can positively impact your heart:
Stress Reduction:
Meditation can help manage stress, which is a major factor in heart disease.
Lowered Blood Pressure:
Studies have shown that meditation can help lower both systolic and diastolic blood pressure.
Improved Heart Rate Variability (HRV):
HRV is a measure of how easily your heart can adjust to changes in your body’s needs. Meditation can improve HRV, which is a sign of a healthier heart.
Reduced Risk of Heart Disease:
While more research is needed, some studies suggest that meditation may be linked to a lower risk of cardiovascular disease.
Other Benefits:
Meditation can also improve sleep, increase overall well-being, and help with other conditions like anxiety, depression, and pain.
Within six months of quitting alcohol, I had lost about 10 pounds and my face had changed the way it looked. My complexion had improved dramatically, and I remember seeing a friend up in Manhattan for the first time since I had put down the bottle. We were at the Havana club cigar bar in Manhattan and he looked at me with a bit of astonishment and as a compliment saying “you’re so fucking calm now Kev. Your energy has changed, buddy.”
I know it has Matt.
I’m healing, bro.
And without delay at the brasserie restaurant on Lexington and 48th my buddy Matt turned me onto the teachings in the writings of Dr. Joe Dispenza, who leverages the science and the power of meditation to help people “become supernatural” in his own words.
That book was so impactful on reinforcing my commitment to daily meditation and the health and wellness benefits of it that I have bought about 20 copies for different people over the years and I ended up getting certified and guided meditation so I could bring this practice to as many people as possible and not wait for them to come to it on their own.

That’s why I’m doing it.
If you have never experienced guided meditation, and you don’t meditate, you need to call me today and schedule a guided meditation with me as my treat.
I want you to taste what real stillness feels like and I can walk you into that if you just follow my instructions and breathe.
Can you do that?
Of course you can.
And eventually, sooner rather than later, you will develop a relationship between your ego-self and your higher-self, and start to move more of your behavior over to the ledger that is the side of your higher-self when it comes to decision-making and how you respond in the universe.
What I am teaching is how to get back to a more factory programmed version of yourself, and to use both current and ancient tools to improve your comfort level with stillness, which is where all your answers lie.
My messaging is becoming clearer as my mission becomes sharper in focus.
Here comes a whole lot more of my attitude of gratitude.
