Morning Platitude from The GratiDude

I remember when I was still drinking and not fully “aligned” and what it was like being around people that had “freed themselves up” and were living true to their higher selves.

I could tell by their energy and the frequency I felt, and the look in their eyes and how quick they were with a sincere and not a fake smile.

Their presentation of self was without effort yet purely authentic.

The freedom and the energy I was feeling was what is called “heart coherence.”

More here:

HeartMath coherence is a state of optimal function that occurs when the heart, mind, emotions, and physical systems are in alignment. It’s characterized by a harmonious order and increased efficiency in the body’s psychological and physiological processes.

Some benefits of heart coherence include Improved mental clarity, increased emotional stability, Greater resilience, more effective choices, and reduced mental and emotional pressure.

HeartMath offers tools and technologies to help people learn and activate coherence. Some of these tools include:

emWave: A technology that measures and quantifies heart rhythm coherence

Inner Balance: A sensor that provides accurate and precise data on heart rhythm

Heart coherence can also be experienced in social and global contexts. For example, social coherence can help groups communicate more authentically and find solutions more easily.

Alignment.

What my bro Leo Herrera, the Connected Golfer calls “staying connected.”

Whatever you want to call it you recognize it when you’re around it and it’s the feeling that we should all aspire to feel ourselves during our life experience.

I’m there now and I recognize when other people are in a place where they’re utterly comfortable with who they are and what they are doing. They are not putting on a different personality or character for one part of their life and then switching masks for another part of their life and constantly adjusting their frequency to meet their situation.

This is the equivalent of being a thermometer. All you’re doing is reflecting the temperature that’s around you and you’re doing nothing to impact the temperature of the room.

What I strive to be every day instead is the thermostat.

I set the temperature.

I uplift the energy, and I elevate the vibe by not settling for anything less than what I call “the real.”

Yes, according to research and the concept of HeartMath, achieving heart coherence can significantly contribute to authenticity by aligning your thoughts, emotions, and actions, allowing you to express yourself more truthfully and in line with your inner values; essentially, being more “in tune” with your true self by fostering a deeper connection between your heart and mind.

Key points about heart coherence and authenticity:

Inner alignment:

When your heart and mind are in coherence, it creates a state of inner harmony, leading to a clearer understanding of your true feelings and desires, which is crucial for authentic expression.

Emotional regulation:

Heart coherence practices help regulate emotions, reducing the influence of stress and anxiety, allowing for more genuine responses to situations.

Self-awareness:

By being more present in your body and emotions through heart coherence, you gain greater self-awareness, enabling you to identify and express your authentic self.

Positive impact on relationships:

Practicing heart coherence can lead to deeper, more authentic connections with others due to increased empathy and genuine communication.

When a guy who gets paid to smash people’s heads in hands you a bouquet of flowers on way in for your fight, which is traditionally a time to be menacing and intimidating, it is so unexpected that it is purely authentic.

It’s full of confidence and swaggy.

To ask your opponent to quickly take a selfie with you? Hilarious.

One message here is that you don’t have to worry about your specific behavior and actions per se in a situation if you are connected to your higher self and enjoying heart coherence as I mentioned earlier.

When you stay in this connected state, your actions will be purely authentic coming from an alignment of your heart and mind and spirit at that time. Even if what you’re doing is unexpected, unusual, or not the norm it will be well received because your intentions are good and the energy that you are mustering at that moment is pure and from something bigger than you.

That is always felt in the room, without question.

When you feel yourself reaching into a toolbox of different personalities or dispositions to answer the bell for a situation, you are simply working way too hard.

You are not being kind to yourself when you do this because you are telling yourself that your natural state of being is not enough.

You are more than enough.

Breathe in that feeling of knowing that you are here for a reason, and you are more than enough.

The key to being able to pull off behavior that may be different or unusual yet is still either acceptable and/or incredibly well received like this guy is staying connected to your breath, so you are in the present moment.

Present moment awareness allows you to feel all the energy and receive all the information available to you in the generous present moment of now.

Letting our true personality shine and invoking play as much as we can during our day and in our work activities is extremely healthy for us.

Smiling and laughing and having fun, the old adage whistle while you work, is real.

And, if you’re not having fun with what you are doing, that’s ok, you don’t have to remain stuck!

There are a few things you can change; one obviously is your attitude and ability to appreciate and enjoy what you were doing as an opportunity to learn and grow. The other option is to change what you’re doing and be honest and real with yourself so you can figure out what it is that would truly make you happy to do every day.

Growth personally and growth professionally is the name of the game this year and every year going forward.

And remember, it’s OK to do the unexpected when it’s coming from a place that is authentic and grounded in the real you.

That’s just your own weird and unique attitude of gratitude.
