Morning Meditation from The GratiDude

I perceive there to be two different Major Systems always operating, in parallel, with two different sets of rules and reward systems.

On one hand, you have Universal law and the laws of the universe that are proven repeatedly every single day since the beginning of time to be true, consistent, and accurate.

This set of laws says that you will receive exactly what you put out and every time you commit an act of kindness, you can expect to receive one back sometime in the future.

On the other hand, you have human made laws and laws of governments and systems that are proven over and over again to be inherently biased rigged for the people in power to preserve power, and rewards cruelty, as well as kindness with the only thing that is being measured is being the result.

Kindness is exchanged in this set of laws only as a “quid pro quo”, and never from an unconditional love, standpoint or agape.

This means that we must have great clarity to be able to separate which game we are playing and what set of rules we wish to adhere to and benefit from.

You can see it in every aspect of your life, and you could look at it even in the simplest terms of driving around town running errands. If you pull up to a four-way stop sign and about the same time as another car, you have a few different options.

1) You could proceed aggressively and just assume that since it was a virtual tie that somebody must go first, and it might as well be you. This will save you anywhere from one to three seconds in your journey by cutting in front of this other car and going first.

Another option would be to

2) First make eye contact if possible weather permitting, even roll down your window and make a human connection with the other driver and urge them to proceed in front of you because the one to three seconds really doesn’t make a difference and this is a wonderful opportunity to share some kindness and to put that good energy out there into the universe that you know you will receive back someday.

Not a quid pro quo fashion, but in a faith fashion, significant difference.

It would be a fascinating society if kindness was revered much like athletic prowess. Where Mr. Rogers would be walking down the street and he would be getting mobbed by adoring fans because of his unbelievable, calm, kind demeanor and choice of career as an uplifting character for both children and adults.

Mr. Rogers would look like Aaron Judge walking down fifth Avenue in Manhattan in the summertime with the circle of about three hundred people around him, smiling and cheering. Wouldn’t that be cool?

The means and what mattered the most was not where you ended up but HOW you got there. You would be disqualified from certain forms of abundance as provided by typical societal means because of either cruel behavior or a lack of compassion.

“I’m sorry, Kevin, but you will not be receiving this promotion and raise because we we were informed that you acted in a cruel manner to the busser at the Cafe over the weekend when you were at brunch with your family, and you made him cry.

Better luck next year and hopefully you will remember this lesson that kindness and compassion is a twenty-four seven 365 responsibility and our blue-sky society known as “GratiWorld”.

The reality is that humans have free will and individual choice, which is what makes this whole experience so magical, wonderful, challenging, difficult and beautiful all at the same time.

In a scientific sense, “universal laws” are considered real, referring to the established principles that govern the natural world, like the laws of physics, which are believed to apply consistently throughout the universe; however, when discussing concepts like “universal spiritual laws” or “laws of the universe” in a non-scientific context, their reality is often interpreted more philosophically or as guiding principles rather than concrete, verifiable facts.

Remember however, that even with “laws” of physics, quantum science has helped us realize that the aspect of “observation” creates “definition”, a giant reality curveball…..

Key points to consider:

Scientific perspective:

Within science, universal laws are based on empirical evidence and are considered to be accurate descriptions of how the universe operates.

Philosophical perspective:

Some philosophical concepts of “universal laws” might refer to ethical principles or ideas about the nature of reality that may not be directly verifiable by scientific methods.

In quantum physics, the concept of “observation as dictating reality” refers to the idea that the act of observing a quantum system can fundamentally change its state, meaning that the very act of measurement influences the outcome and essentially “creates” the reality of the particle being observed, rather than simply revealing a pre-existing state; this is often explained through the “observer effect” and is a key feature of quantum mechanics that contrasts with our everyday experience of the world.

Key points about observation in quantum physics:

Superposition:

Before an observation is made, a quantum particle can exist in multiple states simultaneously, called superposition.

Wave function collapse:

When a measurement is performed, the wave function (representing the possible states) collapses into a single, definite state, essentially “forcing” the particle to choose one value.

Interaction is key:

The act of observing in quantum mechanics always involves some form of interaction with the system being measured, which inevitably alters its state.

Example: The Double-Slit Experiment

When an electron is fired through two slits without being observed, it creates an interference pattern on the screen, indicating wave-like behavior.

However, if the electron is observed during its passage through the slits, the interference pattern disappears, and the electron behaves like a particle, demonstrating how the act of observation influences the outcome.

Important Considerations:

Observer is not a person:

While often described as an “observer,” the concept in quantum physics refers to any measurement device or interaction that can influence the quantum system.

Interpretations of quantum mechanics:

Different interpretations of quantum mechanics may place varying emphasis on the role of the observer, with some suggesting that the observer effect is a reflection of our limited knowledge rather than a fundamental property of reality.

It would be hard to contend that we don’t know what our default systems are as human beings relative to emotions like love and hate and things of that nature.

But we do know(spoiler alert….L-O-V-E).

We know that love is the highest power and the strongest force in the universe and is the energy behind the creation of life behind you, me and all things that will ever be.

Our fears and traumas that we experience and our inability to integrate those energies and understand what happened and where they came from is a big part of why many adults struggle to be kind and compassionate on a day-to-day basis. It’s extremely hard to behave in a way that you haven’t seen models in front of you or to exude kindness when you’re not feeling kindness from other people.

This is where an amazingly simple daily practice of gratitude and breathing in the morning can physiologically and emotionally help reset the way that you think and feel which will give you new perspectives and abilities to change your behavior.

You can’t change your behavior without first connecting to breath and becoming aware of your own thoughts. If you don’t know why you’re thinking what you’re thinking you need to start, there and get control of that because the soundtrack in your mind becomes your entire perspective of what reality is.

Again, life is not what happens to you, but instead the stories you tell yourself.

Group coaching coming in February that will allow everyone to build their own customized daily practice pick and choose the methods and modalities that serve YOU.
