Morning Meditation from The GratiDude

Often times I feel like a dog out for a walk that encounters another new dog for the first time, and they come nose to nose, or in the case of dogs, often nose to butt.

When dogs are healthy and comfortable in their setting, and in a good relationship with their owner, they enjoy these types of encounters as it opens a whole New World of reality when they check out the other smells attributes and personalities of their canine counterparts.

About a year after meditating every day when I would meet other people that meditated, I felt like a dog sticking my nose in their butt and recognizing the smell.  I started to just ask people directly in a question form “do you meditate?.”

I don’t have to ask I simply state “so you meditate every day? What are you into?”

I found out a golf executive for one of the big management companies has been meditating for decades, using mantras, a specific mantra and a form of transcendental meditation.

I met another woman at the farmers market a few weeks ago, and we were talking about meditation, and she enjoys using a candle and begins her meditation every day by staring into the center of the flame.  This gives her a point of focus that allows her to release her monkey mind and become more present.

I had a friend over the other night, and I had them sit out in lanai meditation area that is full of plants and fountains to get their feedback on the experience.  They found the fountains to be extremely calming and meditative, much like I do, which was cool.

I was talking with a new friend yesterday about how when you go through periods of significant growth and change, you must also accept periods of isolation that go with it until you can attract people that are more in line with your new reality, lifestyle, and frequency.

Is Frequency “real”?

Interesting, right?

Bob Marley sang “Who Feels it, Knows it.”  Hard to argue with Bob.

While science doesn’t definitively prove that humans can directly “sense” someone on their “frequency” in a literal sense, many people report feeling a strong connection or intuitive understanding with others who share similar energy, emotions, or perspectives, which could be interpreted as being “on the same frequency.”.

Key points to consider:

Subconscious perception:

We may pick up on subtle cues like body language, tone of voice, or facial expressions that align with our own emotional state, creating a sense of connection.

Empathy and emotional intelligence:

People with high emotional intelligence often report feeling others’ emotions more readily, which could be perceived as sensing a similar energy.

Shared experiences and values:

When someone shares similar life experiences or values, it can create a sense of familiarity and resonance.

What might it feel like to be “on the same frequency”:

Immediate comfort and ease: Feeling like you’ve known someone for a long time, even if you just met.

Deep understanding: Easily grasp someone’s perspective without needing much explanation.

Strong rapport: Feeling a natural connection and wanting to spend time together.

Positive energy exchange: Feeling uplifted or energized when interacting with the other person.

Important to remember:

Subjective experience:

Whether you feel someone is “on your frequency” is based on your own perception and interpretation.

Not a scientific fact:

There is no concrete scientific evidence to support the idea of directly sensing someone’s energy frequency

When you encounter another dog whose smell is right on point with what you’re looking for and how you are feeling it’s important that you dogs do what you can to form a pack.  Even if it is for a brief period of time to help and support each other, we are pack animals much like the canines and we do well when we have support and help from other furry friends.

Remember that God works through people and the universe is constantly delivering you opportunities to gain experience and grow through your experiences and through the people that you are exposed to, and that you might meet even today.

Keep your antenna up your eyes, peeled and your tail wagging so that when you encounter someone on the street, like this young man, here, you are present and, in the moment, and ready for the experience to connect.

Keep in mind that if you were a dog busy chasing a squirrel in your own mind, you might not even notice the new dog that is walking down your street that you have an opportunity to meet.

Being present and grounded in your breath allows your life experience to slow down so you can enjoy more of your own life and less of your own future or past thoughts and the intermittent anxiety “talk track”( that is on repeat for so many people).

Don’t be afraid to stop and give someone a sniff when you meet them, or drop your backpack and breakdance,  or simply have a thoughtful conversation with an open heart and eye contact, because that is living with an attitude of gratitude.
