The G.I.F.T. Today
Grateful: to have the opportunity to dig deep yesterday when some unpleasant emotions lingered. Did a full reset mid-day meditation on self-forgiveness. Ask me about if interested.
Intention-Panther fan vibes from the video today, that Dude is THE Dude.

Morning Meditation from The GratiDude
We’re already starting to see it with increased people that are announcing, or letting the World know that they are considered on the autism spectrum.
I had a unique opportunity to be exposed to learning about autism as a noticeably young person because one of my sisters, Anne up in Ann Arbor, is highly functioning autistic. Anne also was also challenged with some other physical limitations that made her journey along the way even more difficult.
Love you Anne Carpenter.
Thank you for teaching me so much.
As a young child in the 60s autism was not very well understood at all, and she was lumped into a classification as being retarded.
The fact of the matter is that she’s incredibly intelligent, a voracious reader, hilarious, and far more engaged than most folks that you’ll ever meet.

The interesting thing about folks that are highly functioning autistic is that they usually see very clearly how incompatible violence is in the human experience. There seems to be a heighten sensitivity and awareness of either the sanctity of life or the interconnectedness of life. I’m not sure, but there’s something almost mystical about the perception or feeling that many Folks considered to be on the autism spectrum view reality at times.
I believe as we learn increasingly from people in the spectrum range will learn about many superpowers of perception, and thinking that go with diverse types of autism, and one place I’m sure will be hearing lots of that from is in the world of engineering and software code.
I have a friend who is an entrepreneur and he and I have both jokes that the best software engineers are definitely on the spectrum and have Aspergers in many cases. The ability to hyperfocus for extended periods of time on the minutia and granularity and not get lost in the detail is a unique skill set. It takes a real kind of cyclops like focus to get into writing code and being good at it. The skills necessary for software coding have drawn many highly functional autistic individuals, and lots of people classified with Asperger’s.
From Auticon.com (https://blog.auticon.com/), an organization promoting the understanding of autism and neurodiversity in engineering:
Research strongly supports the potential of neurodivergent problem-solving in software engineering. Studies have shown that individuals with ASD(autism spectrum) often possess a unique ability to see patterns and connections that others may miss. Their insights and perspectives can enhance the quality of work and foster a more inclusive environment within teams. By approaching problem-solving from different angles, they may uncover new insights and improve the efficiency of software development processes.
Embracing neurodiversity also has profound implications for the work environment itself. A neurodiverse workforce can cultivate a culture of acceptance and understanding where individuals are valued for their unique perspectives and abilities. This inclusivity fosters a sense of belonging among all employees, encouraging open dialogue, mutual respect, and collaboration. It not only drives productivity but also enhances employee satisfaction and retention.
Looking ahead, the future of neurodiversity in software engineering is bright. Companies are increasingly recognizing the value of diverse minds and implementing initiatives to attract and support neurodivergent talent. These developments will lead to the creation of even more innovative, user-centric software solutions that cater to a diverse range of needs.
The last two years, Elon Musk has started to talk openly about being on the autistic spectrum and being open about the many people in the world of technology that either he believes to be or confess to be also on the autism spectrum.
When asked about a potential link between his companies and Asperger’s, Musk said it’s “certainly possible” that it was valuable from a technology standpoint.
“I found it rewarding to spend all night programming computers, just by myself. … But I think that is not normal.”
He said he also became “obsessed” with physics and trying to figure out the meaning of life.
“My driving philosophy is to expand the scope and scale of consciousness so that we may better understand the nature of the universe.”
The big picture: Asperger’s and other similar disorders that were previously diagnosed separately are now part of a wide diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
Roughly 1.5 million people with ASD are expected to reach adulthood in the next decade and poised to enter the workplace in unprecedented numbers.
The Panther Bro in the video here is such a raving fan, it is PURE!
(Watch his reaction to getting gifted $1000…..”whatevs”, ha ha!!)
I also love how he talks about being a good person to everyone is only common sense, especially in such a crazy world where there are things like shootings going on.
Just the idea of a human using a gun on another human is so insane to this beautiful man that it surely means that we must AMPLIFY our loving kindness and help others even more.
What an incredible way to interpret the situation.
Things are getting bad people are really freaking…must be time for me to go to work and start loving everyone as much as possible as quickly as possible.
I’m not a Panthers fan, but I can get with program.
It’s beautiful to see beautiful people having a beautiful time and laughing and cheering and celebrating life.
There many challenges thrown our way, daily and enjoying any smile we can get in any opportunity to connect with another human is something we need to relish and not take for granted and lean into because it is hugely important.
Kind people are significant role models for all of us and remind us on what’s profoundly important in our day-to-day life.
In order to recognize kindness, and to be a part of this wonderful experience, we need to do our best to stay present and connected to our breath so we don’t miss any opportunity either to be kind to someone or the opportunity to receive kindness, which is always a good idea and good for the heart.
Keep your breath flowing and your eyes peeled and always cheer for your favorite team with as much kindness as possible, and an attitude of gratitude.
