Some Dude that died named the GratiDude left a message….it says “Give yourself a Check Up from the Neck-Up and Get on it Like a Puppy on a pork chop”-Profound!
I realize now that I have used too many words in my speaking and writing.
Because I enjoy language and communication and creativity so much I was never a big fan of economy of words in the way that Ernest Hemingway wrote, for example.
The “less is more” philosophy, never really caught on with me when it came to talking or writing.
I now understand that my message will be more powerful and also reach a wider audience if I can control my urge to puke out excessive words or feel the need from an ego standpoint to flaunt my vocabulary or linguistic capabilities.
That shit is tired.
Instead, I wanna be more like the person that came up with this plaque honoring M. Colby Murphy:
“ we can only exist as part of something much larger than ourselves. “
Gulp.
Double Gulp.
Wow.
And it comes down to this:
“Shared Authenticity”
I’ve never even heard this term or heard somebody use this as a colloquialism, but it is so spot on to how real relationships real community real organizations real businesses real teams are built. It is the only way they are built.
Then the question becomes what is my personal path to my own authenticity?
The messages that define authentic behavior are only received in the moment of now.
I repeat the only path to authenticity is becoming comfortable, listening to the messages that come from your higher self and from something bigger than your ego construct.
That is literally the message on this marker here and it is so profound succinct and to the point that it literally stopped a group of six of us in our tracks and we had to sit there and talk about it for about 20 minutes.
We asked each other you only had 20 or 30 words to put on a stone to leave behind as either a message or encouragement for all other people for the rest of time to see or read and act upon what words would you choose?
In other words, what have you learned that has been so impactful and profound that you want to make sure that if you only have one message to share this, would you share?
Whatever that message needs to be the center core of how you build your life in terms of your relationships, your activities, and your behaviors.
I’m happy I still have some time to contemplate what I would put on that stone, but it might include something along the lines of:
Get off your ass and make it fast
The Love and Unity Train is about to pass
Jump aboard and share your vibe
Be grateful for love and that your alive
I still have some personal seasoning so that I can mature and be a bit more profound and formal in my end of life edit or message but for the meantime, I like my little nursery rhyme approach here because life is best experienced when your playful and of course, when you realize that you need to be a part of something bigger than yourself.
And you are.
Whether you choose science, religion, spirituality, they all show us that all living things and creatures of all kinds are connected through energy and Lifeforce.
Separation is the illusion
Unity is the reality
It is your choice to join or to watch from the sidelines.
