A Fish can Run and a GratiDude can float when you trust your intuition and ACT!

The laundry room at the old house I lived in with my ex-wife and kids was a one way in and a one-way out affair.

It was narrow with everything positioned in there, machinery, table, folding area, sink, etc. and so when I saw my ex walk into the laundry room five years and about six weeks ago, subconsciously, I knew this was my opportunity to force the issue I had been thinking about for about 10 years: to quit drinking alcohol permanently.

I had been reading up on neuroplasticity cand the power of affirmations and I had been practicing gratitude daily in a more consistent way for at least the past year or so since I got into doing yoga.

Furthermore, I was now emboldened and felt more confident about my gratitude path because I suddenly realize that there were other brilliant thoughtful people like Gary V, David Meltzer, Steve Harvey, and many others that were big time gratitude proponents, and until I heard them talking about it, I honestly didn’t know that other people on gratitude the way that I had since I was a teenager.

When I got her to tell me that the only thing that was out of balance was alcohol and then she gave me the atomic kick in the dick that I needed by saying “it’s the only time you’ve ever been mean”.

Gulp.

I can barely type that without crying again.

But once I heard that and I responded with “guess what? This MotherF’er is NEVER going to be mean again because this MotherF’er is never going to drink again”.

And when I spoke those words, I knew them to be true.

It was the love that I have for my Family, including my ex-wife, that gave me the strength to quit drinking. I will always be loyal to Her for loving me and filling me with courage as a result.

It was the moment just like this when that FISH decided that he had no choice. It was either death slowly in the little pond or die trying to escape.

Here’s what I know about the fish after he made it into the ocean: it doesn’t matter!

https://youtu.be/5_ZH60hE_oU

It doesn’t matter what happened to the fish after he made it into the ocean because the move that he made courage and it was dictated upon the information that he was receiving from his higher self and from something bigger than him.

Dying in a Whale’s belly the next day would be BETTER than living 10 years in a shallow pond by yourself.

Get it?? Follow that FISH!!

Somehow, that fish did the impossible and crawled over land to the body of water it needed to get to in order to survive.

We don’t need a spreadsheet to keep track of what happens after this, because this, is EVERYTHING.

You see when we listen and live our lives according to our intuition and the messages were receiving through prayer and meditation it allows us to be more true to ourselves, and to remain more calm and enjoy more of our own life.

This is also how we can get to a situation in our lives where we’re comfortable with silence and we can appreciate stillness.  That’s a real test of your mental wellness folks and it’s OK if it’s tough because it used to be really tough for me.

The great news is our brains aren’t necessarily the brains that we have tomorrow and we can reform we think by choosing thoughts that service and learning how to monitor and let go of the thoughts that don’t.

It starts by learning about how critical is, including even the manner with which you breathe, whether your nose breathing, mouth breathing, etc., etc..

I will keep showing up to help anyone that needs help with this because the only reason I understand it and know about it, is that other people help me. I have a responsibility to share any helpful or creative knowledge that I acquire as part of the collective effort to uplift others and to make sure that we’re doing the best we can to get through life as it can be quite challenging and difficult at times.

And when you make big moves, just keep your closest friends and family around you. They’ll support you and encourage you and help you make that leap and crawl across that sand into the big blue ocean and remember you’re never alone.

You’re connected to everything and it’s all a journey of learning and growing as we expand our Attitude of Gratitude.
