Morning Platitude from The GratiDude
You can tell definitively that this guy landed on the right team surrounded by the right people. And that’s everything.
You see, if you’re not surrounded by a group of people that is willing to accept you for who you are and to provide you the support you need to pursue your own greatness and whatever that is, or support you in your next immediate goal, you are with the wrong people. Your subconscious will know if you are amongst people that don’t allow you to fully express yourself and you will end up modifying or altering your behavior in an unhealthy fashion in the hopes of avoiding friction or confrontation or even ridicule or negative feelings as a result.
There’s nothing wrong with YOU, you just happen to be on the wrong team.
The good news is that in life there has always been a transfer portal and there is no need to delay moving to a new team even if that means you’re a free agent for a while until you find the right coach to take you on.
If you look at this clip on the one side, you have the teammate that finished his sentence on his immediate right, a Bro who carried on his thought process about overcoming adversity and giving thanks and gratitude to the entire school and organization and support system that is behind the scenes supporting the players performance.
He let his Brother cry it out and he knew EXACTLY what needed to be said, because they are operating as true teammates in life.
Then to the players left, you have his coach who is there comforting him like a good friend or a father, acting like a family member making sure he knows he is safe and it’s totally OK to express himself and to let that emotion out.
Yes, crying can be beneficial for both physical and emotional well-being, as it releases stress hormones, helps clean the eyes, and can trigger the release of feel-good chemicals like oxytocin and endorphins.
Here’s a more detailed look at the potential health benefits of crying:
Physical Benefits:
Eye Health:
Tears lubricate the eyes, preventing dryness and washing away irritants, debris, and dust, which can reduce the risk of infection.
Pain Relief:
Crying can trigger the release of endorphins, which have pain-relieving effects.
Stress Reduction:
Crying can help release stress hormones like cortisol and adrenaline, potentially lowering stress levels.
Detoxification:
Emotional tears contain higher levels of stress hormones and toxins, and shedding them can help the body detoxify.
Activation of Parasympathetic Nervous System:
Crying can activate the parasympathetic nervous system, which helps the body relax and recover.
Emotional and Psychological Benefits:
Emotional Release:
Crying can be a healthy way to release pent-up emotions and stress, allowing for emotional processing and catharsis.
Mood Enhancement:
Crying can trigger the release of oxytocin and endorphins, which can improve mood and promote a sense of well-being.
Social Connection:
Sharing a cry with someone can foster empathy and strengthen emotional bonds.
Grief Recovery:
Crying can be a natural part of the grieving process, allowing for the expression and processing of difficult emotions.
Self-Soothing:
Crying can be a form of self-soothing, helping individuals cope with difficult emotions and restore emotional balance.
This tells you that he is on the right team.
One way you can double check for yourself is to make sure that you feel comfortable expressing your emotions without feeling the need to double check or to review how you may express yourself so that it would be acceptable.
It is one thing when you’re in a public place in a gathering at church or something like that and you need to excuse yourself from the room or the gathering so that you can fully process your emotions and be expressive in a healthy way. That’s OK, just check out of that situation and get somewhere where you can let your emotions out. You will feel better because your body is telling you that it’s something you need to do and you need to respect that, even if you don’t understand that at the time.
When people talk about being in healthy relationship relationships, they talk about being at ease and not having the second guess how they express themselves or what they do, which is truly the definition of being in a good healthy relationship.
You are responsible to get yourself on the right team and nobody else can do it for you so make sure you’re being honest with yourself and take a good look at the folks that are on your starting lineup and make sure that you’re wearing the right uniform and playing for the right coach.
We mean it if we can help you please let us know reach out directly and let’s get you suited up and laced up with the right shoes and the right attitude of gratitude.
