Stay close to the Stars most importantly to your breath and higher-self. Unlike our planet Earth today…..so, so, far away from Mr. Sun!
Enjoy the longest day of the year and channel some of your ancient pagan ancestors like the ones that used to dance around the stone monuments at Avebury in central England.
Oh, you haven’t heard of Avebury?
But first, a word about Solstices from NatGeo:
Sometimes, solstices are nicknamed the “summer solstice” and the “winter solstice,” although these have different dates in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. The summer solstice is the longest day of the year, meaning it experiences the maximum intensity of the sun’s rays and has the most hours of sunlight. The winter solstice is the shortest day of the year and has the fewest hours of daylight.
For Thousands of years, Hunter/Gatherers and individuals dependent on subsistence farming were REALLY into things like the Solstice.
They were connected to nature, the cycles of the Sun and Moon, and they celebrated what they noticed and knew.
All over the world, EVERYWHERE, folks of all different appearances and environments ALL noticed the same cycles, and all documented and drew them, and built monuments to them.
Like the “little ones” at Stonehenge.
And if you want to get your solstice boogie on and dance around while playing a harp, perhaps with some branches strung through your hair, I would go north of Stonehenge.. The BIG CIRLCE is up the road a few days walk. About 40 KM from SH o the much bigger installation and much more laid-back vibe of Avebury, check it:

When we stop and think the amount of effort in time and planning that it must’ve taken to move the stones into a line them perfectly relative to the sun on this day today just one of 365 days in a year, is pretty extraordinary.
I’ve seen some really cool examples of engineering and design in monuments down in Mesoamerica specifically in places like Guatemala and Honduras, and some of the intricate designs of the ancient Maya. There would be small temples and bar buildings that would have small cracks purposely left between some of the stones that would illuminate a pic on a wall on the other side of the temple, but only do that one time a year or once every four years or once, every hundred years and the math and the astrology were truly staggering.
This is also a good place to everyone that the mathematical concept of zero is the foundation in the building block of all advanced and complex, math and science.
Without the concept of zero, your sort of left counting on your fingers and toes and relegated to very pedestrian problems, solving and concepts.
The concept of zero existed for centuries south of the equator before it existed north of the equator, which is why you see such impressive monuments in central and South America, Africa, Egypt, in particular that seem to dwarf in complexity, what we have found in ancient Europe and other locations.

The printing press was only invented in 1500 so please keep in mind that all knowledge was transferred either in hand written form, usually transcribed by men in the religious order often times priest or monks, depending on the part of the country and the faith, the religion or philosophy being practiced. or in the case of some of the class stories like Homer and they were told orally for centuries and repeated around fires and on the backs of horses on top of mountains across the world and of course these stories like every oral story change a little little bit at least every single time they are told.
When the printing press invented, there was a huge effort by the ruling class, and especially those in religious and political power to control the access to the printing press because obviously it was such a powerful tool of influencing, the hearts of women and men.
Fast forward to today and especially the last 20 years and literally everyone has access not only to a printing press, but to the ability to sell their newspaper on every street corner on every town in the world. I’m talking about social media, and specifically the intersection of social media, your daily activities and the mindset that you currently have versus the one that you wish to construct.
Social media of itself is not inherently bad or good however, this year volume of voices and the amount of potentially distracting content is overwhelming for our eyes and our minds to handle in mass quantities. Stimulation overload is a real thing when it comes to all the digital median content that is available. Should you lack self control or fall down one of those proverbial “ Internet rabbit holes” that everyone

has fallen into at one pointer or another.
I had a really nice conversation with Stacey who is the partner of my auto mechanic and if you have an interesting car of any kind, you need a good auto mechanic just like you need a good lawyer and a good accountant. These are positions that require a great deal of integrity because the subject matter is usually so alien to the person that is the customer that there’s a lot of latitude for fraudulent behavior. My mechanic “G-Money” is incredible and a super kind awesome dude and I love going in there even though it’s expensive every time because I get to hang out and see them and we get to share our love.
By the way, this is how I interact in my life in my hometown and with strangers and people that I deal with as I develop real relationships I verbalize my appreciation and I literally told them I love them and I think them. I don’t care if other people love them. I do love them so I tell them.
Stacy, partner of G Money, always looks forward to me coming in because she can have really open and deep conversations about thoughts and feelings that she has that she doesn’t really have with anyone else. It’s pretty interesting when you open up yourself and become vulnerable other people feel comfortable, doing it afterwards too. That’s why I do it.
Stacy was sharing with me in the last year so she’s gotten really into watching real life crime TV shows and specifically ones about homicides. She then shared with me the impact that it had her thoughts and her feelings that she realized that she created a sort of habit and that she was creating more more anxiety in her life and fear and to make sure that she wasn’t being a rational, she would watch more of the shows that would then reinforce her somewhat irrational fears.
We talked about everything that you consume in your day whether it’s food or music or TV shows or computer information or sounds in nature are all inputs that go into your system and impact your energy through your thoughts and feelings.
I asked her if watching those shows was serving her well or doing anything that benefited her or the people that she loved.
At that point, she realized that she was uncovering something else going on in terms of some self-destructive behavior that she wished to understand a little bit more and we talked a little bit more about that.
I told her that, instead of focusing on the fact that she’s uncovering some of the self-destructive behavior, she should really be applauding herself and thanking herself for caring and really being thoughtful about her choices and if she’s aligned with living her best life.
Reminded Stacy that the journey is never over and we’re all just doing the best we can. Furthermore, the fact that she’s really working at it and having these conversations with me, a Customer at Scott’s Porsche repair dealership in a back industrial park near the highway in Sarasota, says that she really cares about herself and the people around her because these aren’t easy or simple conversations or behaviors to talk about or analyze.
Stacey is chilling on those shows now and I got her turned on to something different, and I think she’s really feeling “Yo Gabba Gabba” now as a more happiness inducing type of TV content to watch. And the music is better too.
Thousands of years ago, all sorts of people came from miles and miles away to gather at these sites and celebrate the longest day of the year and to watch with amazement as the sun lined up a giant mile long circle with ancient stones, telling stories and truth from the profits, visionaries and sages of centuries and centuries before we were born.
On this longest day of the year, keep in mind that there’s many sources of information, both old and new, and that us Humans have been around for millions of years, contemplating the nature of existence and what life is all about.
Nobody has figured out all the answers, so take it easy and take some time to dance around some stones, and to celebrate our connection to nature to the cycles of life to the sun and the moon, and all of our ancestors that stretch back to the beginning of time.
If you can’t find a giant stone monument to Dance around, why don’t you just throw down a little rock somewhere and do a little jig in a circle? Maybe even do the hokey pokey around some pebbles and call it good!
Sharing the love and kindness in your heart will never go out of style and has been in fashion since the beginning of time.
You can’t choose whether you were born thousands of years ago near Avebury, or The Creator put you in a small town in the Midwest called Mayberry.
What you can choose every day is to be thankful, you can do a little dance, and you always get to choose your attitude.
Today let’s celebrate solstice with a sunny disposition and longest day vibe along with our Attitude of Gratitude.
