Morning Platitude from The GratiDude

Young people today have got the right idea when they talk about building their own brand from a young age. This doesn’t mean you spend an excessive amount of time on social media driving traffic to your post or things of that nature. It just means considering what you want people to think about when they hear your name aka your brand.

Do they think about the fact that you only think of yourself?

Or when they think of you, do they think of someone who is generous and kind?

I remember when I cornered the mother of my kids in the laundry room almost 6 years ago, this is when and where I made the final decision to quit drinking alcohol, and she said exactly what I needed her to say, and God bless her for that.

She told me that alcohol was the only thing that was out of balance in my life and that “it was the only time I was ever mean.”

Gulp.

Mean.

Shit.

Even one minute per year is too much, I concluded.

That was the proverbial “kick in the dick” that I needed, and I decided that my brand would never be associated with meanness again and that I needed to “squeeze this puss out of me” like an infected wound in order to process my own traumas, fears, anxieties, and the only way I could do that would be to break up with Tito once and for all.

When my buddy Bruce Gerlander over in Orlando gave me the nickname the GratiDude about 5+ years ago, it resonated with everyone that heard it, and I knew it would stick.

The same woman that gave me the courage to quit drinking by calling me a mean drunk at times, was the one who created the logo of the The GratiDude.

How beautifully ironic is that and perfect in every way?

Shaquille O’Neal has built a brand, not on just basketball but on his frequency away from the basketball court and away from the television studio by consistently delivering acts of kindness and genuine care and compassion for people everywhere he goes.

When you see this video, the dude is literally on every square inch of planet earth showering children with love and the kids know to come to him seeking that unconditional love and guidance from a giant kind man.

Yes, you can build a personal brand around the concept of love, by focusing on sharing positive, inspiring content related to relationships, self-love, kindness, and compassion, while presenting yourself as an authentic voice on the topic, but it’s important to be mindful of potential limitations and ensure your message is delivered in a genuine and relatable way.

How to build a “love” personal brand:

Identify your niche:

Focus on a specific aspect of love like romantic relationships, family bonds, self-care, or overcoming heartbreak, allowing you to cater to a targeted audience.

Authentic storytelling:

Share personal experiences, stories of others, or insights that demonstrate your understanding of love and its complexities, making your brand relatable.

Positive messaging:

Promote healthy relationship habits, self-love practices, and positive affirmations to create an uplifting brand image.

Content creation strategies:

Social media posts: Share inspirational quotes, relationship advice, personal anecdotes, and engaging visuals.

Blog posts: Write in-depth articles on love-related topics, providing valuable information and perspectives.

Videos: Create vlogs, interviews with experts, or short motivational clips about love.

Podcasts: Host conversations with guests on love, relationships, and personal growth.

Community building:

Engage with followers: Respond to comments, host Q&As, and actively participate in discussions.

Collaborate with others: Partner with influencers or experts in the love and relationship space.

Create online communities: Build a dedicated group on social media where people can connect and share their experiences.

Considerations when building a “love” brand:

Authenticity is key:

Be genuine and share your own experiences to build trust with your audience.

Respectful boundaries:

Avoid overly personal or sensitive topics that could be seen as exploitative.

Professionalism matters:

Maintain a professional image even when discussing personal topics.

Market research:

Understand your target audience’s needs and interests to tailor your content accordingly.

I know what my brand is and I work on it every single day sharing gratitude and all of the teachings and tricks that I can find and I tell myself I need to be like the bird that looks for shiny objects to bring back to the nest for the other birds to enjoy.

If you don’t believe me that I’m committed to a life of service just watch me every single day until I’m dead and hopefully by then you’ll see a pattern(knock on wood, God willing, you’ll be watching for another 50 years).

This is what I enjoy, and what gives my life meaning and it’s so much fun to be locked into what I know can be valuable for the right people at the right time and to not be worried about what other people think or the perceptions of John Q public.

More than anything, I want to get the message out that gratitude could be used as a tool for your own neuroscience experiment of restructuring your thought patterns to move into the direction of an abundant mindset.

Mindset is everything.

Happiness is an inside job and time is wasting.

This is why coaching is such a perfect business for me.

It gives me the opportunity to meet the students when they are ready and to accelerate the personal human development of those that I encounter which creates an incredible ripple effect in every community, family, house, where these folks are from and I can’t wait to work with as many people as possible.

Lastly, I want the Grateful4 Organization wwww.grateful4.org to be known as a source for assisting collaborating, educating and uplifting.

As an open collective, we welcome all wellness practitioners and thought leaders to contribute in ways that they see fit if it moves us all in a direction towards elevating individuals and encouraging the pursuit of personal greatness, one hairless monkey at a time

That’s our “brand building” attitude of gratitude.
