The universe is in me, and I am the universe with no separation whatsoever.
I suppose I could’ve embraced this concept intellectually from an esoteric distance however, now I breathe it into my lungs and feel it prickling my skin with the anticipation of the beautiful mystery and folding that is my life.
Just the other day, I was thinking that I am every emotion in the entire spectrum of life experience is within me, I am the young couple, making love for the first time in a timeless embrace, and the old man alone dying in the corner in the cold room and everything in between- it’s all in me.
Ecstasy enjoy suffering in pain. It’s all a part of the game that is the experience of being a conscious person in this reality at this time of my existence.
Life is always still life, regardless of all of the information and the access to different voices that we have today.
What I mean by this is that is where you put your focus and the things that you think about in your talk-track become your conscious reality and the lens with which you view your life.
I caught myself in the last few days with recurring talk tracks around a business relationship. I have that is not serving me from a health standpoint because I’m not feeling good healthy communication with the other folks that I’m participating in the business with.
I can only do me. I can’t fix the dynamics and the inclinations or the states of mind of other people and I need to recognize that there is a significant gap between my expectations and the reality of what’s going on. That gap between expectations and reality is often called anxiety or stress or something of that nature however, the part that I can change that’s in my control is the expectation part.
When I let go of the expectations I have about how people should interact or behave or communicate and I just accept what’s going on for what it is realizing I don’t know all of the dynamics and individual idiosyncrasies of all of the people in this dynamic I should just breathe and come back to the moment and chill the fuck out.
My life is too short.
The reality is that the deck is stacked against us when we consume information from our devices, which have been so cleverly placed in our pockets and that deliver a propensity of information that comes from the side of scarcity and not abundance.
In short, and this isn’t a conspiracy theory, but when the world of finance is running the rules of the game, the values and the messages need to be supportive of the ambitions of finance and hyper capitalism. Values and ethics and things need to be directed towards encouraging consumption and driving shareholder value Because that is the name of the game in the world of finance.
That means we have to create our own sources of information that are healthier and more aligned with an abundant mindset that we wish to cultivate because that leads to a healthier mindset and better individual decisions in terms of which thoughts we choose to support and propagate in our moment to moment and day-to-day thinking.
Watching the news cycle constantly introduces fear thoughts of a particular Megahertz that is not good for our heart, for example.
This however, is very good for your heart.
No, living in a state of chronic fear is not healthy for your body long term; while a small amount of fear can be beneficial in certain situations, prolonged fear can negatively impact your physical and mental health, leading to issues like cardiovascular damage, weakened immune system, digestive problems, and accelerated aging.

Fight-or-flight response:
When you experience fear, your body releases stress hormones like adrenaline and cortisol, which trigger the “fight-or-flight” response, increasing heart rate and blood pressure temporarily to help you deal with a perceived threat.
Short-term benefits:
A small dose of fear can be beneficial, like when it motivates you to take necessary precautions or overcome challenges.
Negative effects of chronic fear:
When fear becomes chronic, the constant stress on your body can lead to various health problems including:
Cardiovascular issues: Increased risk of heart disease due to elevated blood pressure and heart rate.
Immune system dysfunction: Weakened immune response, making you more susceptible to illness.
Digestive problems: Gastrointestinal issues like irritable bowel syndrome.
Mental health concerns: anxiety disorders, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder.
Sleep disturbances: Difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep.
If the news was legit and reporting the issues that affect the greatest number of people on earth, it would start with the news and statistics around things like access to drinking water, medicine, literacy rate and infant mortality rate.
All of those indexes and statistics have improved annually each year for literally the last 75 years.
The quality of life for the average person on earth has gone up every damn year for longer than you have been alive. Think about that.
Why doesn’t the news talk about that? Ask yourself?
Because it doesn’t sell commercials and keep you watching, obviously.
When I write about your information choices this is not some shit to just kick around and read in the morning over coffee and then forget about.
This is super important and practical advice that makes you feel better immediately. Brain building instruction and frank conversations on how to improve your thinking and to take control of the wheel of the car that is your life experience.
Stop being a passenger and listening to Channel ZERO, the Scarcity Broadcasting Network.
Conscious, breathing and being connected to your inhalations and exhalations allows you to reconsider and evaluate what sources of information you’re consuming because when you’re connected to your breath, you can truly feel the impact of that information and decide whether or not it serves you or not.
You can feel when information is being served up that makes you uncomfortable and know that you don’t have to watch anymore of that bullshit.
Go outside and go for a walk. I don’t care if it’s 100° below zero you’re better off freezing your ass off outside and being present in the moment than having your brain poisoned by some fear based ideology either on your phone or on the TV.
There’s a vibe in the media pushing a flavor of fear in our particular country’s coverage based upon political rhetoric and administrative change in Washington. Staying glued to the TV about Senate confirmations and updates on executive orders may seem like a responsible decision however take some deep breath and see how your stomach feels after you digest that.

It is a lifetime of work to simply be the best version of yourself that you can be and working on that is what helps you be the best father, parent, coworker, friend, teammate, and isn’t that what it’s all about?
