Morning Platitude from The GratiDude
I’ll keep working on diverse ways to explain it, but today the metaphor that I would use is that when I was still drinking alcohol every day, my ability to act under the direction of the best version of myself was an intermittent signal.
What I mean is that when I was feeling brave and healthy and grounded and present in the moment without anxiety, I was able to connect to my higher self and share little glimpses of what would become the GratiDude’s full-time disposition.
I was like that FM radio station when you were just on the edge of the broadcast signal, and depending on the weather, you could either pick it up clearly, or it would be static and even sometimes you couldn’t even receive the signal at all.
One time in junior high I woke up early and went to the bathroom and I had a radio there in the bathroom. While I was peeing, I turned on the radio and thought I would look for a new station and I stumbled on a song that was just finishing I liked followed by the morning DJ who informed me it was 5:45 in the morning.
That’s weird.
Did I set my alarm for the wrong time?
And as I started to go to bed thinking that I’ve gotten up too early the DJ started giving the weather and it went like this “out in Naperville and Schaumburg. They might see some light flurries but here by the lake in downtown Chicago we’re going to get dumped on this afternoon. Expected up to 6 inches of fresh snow today.”
Holy shit!
I picked up a Chicago radio station all the way in Ann Arbor, Michigan!
That was my experience with some of my greatest thoughts back when I was not healthy, fleeting feelings of unconditional love, a spike of courage to say what I REALLY felt, I would feel heart coherence sporadically and clear alignment to that little voice inside myself that is connected to something much bigger than me was not a clear, strong signal by ANY stretch of the imagination.
Today’s messages is that you can only understand your own potential and greatness when you get aligned and grounded, and you start to think with an abundant mindset in the present moment of NOW.
According to research and the concept of “heart coherence,” cultivating a state where your heart and mind are aligned can significantly contribute to personal greatness by enhancing emotional stability, cognitive function, resilience, and decision-making abilities, potentially allowing you to reach your full potential in various aspects of life; essentially, by promoting a more balanced and focused state, it can enable better performance and personal growth.
Key points supporting this idea:
Improved emotional regulation:
Heart coherence helps manage stress and negative emotions, creating a more positive mindset conducive to achieving goals.
Enhanced cognitive function:
When in a coherent state, your brain operates more efficiently, leading to better focus, clarity, and decision-making.
Increased resilience:
By promoting emotional stability, heart coherence can help you bounce back from challenges and setbacks.
Positive social impact:
A coherent state can facilitate better communication and connection with others, enhancing relationships and collaboration.
My man, here, the tiny house fairy that creates safe shelter for the unhoused without recognition is a modern-day Superhero that needs to be celebrated.
Furthermore, he is operating in a consistent version of his higher self and clearly has a program that is working for him in terms of how to maintain that disposition because he is a bright shining star on our earth today in our family.
We humans are incredible when we just follow the recipe that the universe and God has given us on how to leverage our organism and to maintain presence during our life experience.
It’s a journey and an ongoing practice to maintain that connection and to stay grounded, and this solid feeling comes through a combination of both physical and mental practices that need to be done every single day.
The kind of greatness and mindset that I’m operating under and that I strive for daily is not a three or a five-day week program, but every single day and every moment program for me today and going forward.
People talk about “putting in the work”
None of what I’m doing feels like work. It feels like magic.
I feel so young and new it’s crazy and I understand all those clichés around how age is just a number and how important your mindset is relative to your life experience and how you perceive the aging process.
I am not super excited about my wrinkles and how I don’t maintain muscle mass like I used to and other things about your body, just not being at its peak age, however, it’s super nice not to be all tripped out and weirded out about the concept of death, as I understand it now as a transition and just another chapter and a different type of consciousness and experience.
Besides, why would I worry about dinner when I haven’t even finished breakfast?
I’m here now and this is where I’m right where my feet are.
If you look around at your scorecard of what you’re doing on a day-to-day basis and the things that you’re focused on in your life and you’re honest with yourself, it’s OK if you’re not 100% satisfied.
In fact, that’s healthy to have confidence and faith in yourself that you can always improve and get better. Cause that’s a fact.
What I can’t tell you though, is to take a deep breath and realize where you’re at, and what you’ve done is nothing compared to where you could be and where you are going.
I know this because if you’re reading these words and taking the time to invest into contemplating and working on your own mental and spiritual journey and are committed to your health and wellness in the process, you are most definitively moving in the right direction at this moment.
And I can tell you that it’s not a duration of time or an amount of time you need to spend each day, it’s the consistency of the actions and behaviors that you need to include and the importance of a morning routine.
I will tell you that the only people that ridicule or make fun of the emphasis on a morning routine are the jackasses that don’t have a morning routine.
What I’m saying is that once you’ve incorporated a morning routine like even something simple like the Tony Robbins priming program in the morning you realize that it’s the only way to start your day and you’ll never do anything different.
Tony Robbins’ “priming” method is a morning routine that involves a combination of deep breathing exercises, visualization, and practicing gratitude, designed to intentionally set a positive and energized state of mind for the day ahead, typically taking around 10 minutes to complete.
Key elements of the priming method:
Breathing exercises: Starting with focused deep breaths to center yourself and increase energy levels.
Gratitude practice: Actively reflecting on things you are grateful for in your life.
Visualization: Mentally picturing your desired outcomes and success for the day.
Benefits of priming:
Increased focus and motivation:
By setting a positive mindset early in the day, you are more likely to approach tasks with greater enthusiasm and determination.
Improved emotional regulation:
Practicing gratitude and positive visualization can help manage stress and negative emotions.
Enhanced performance:
Entering the day with a primed mindset can lead to better decision-making and productivity.
It’s a cheat code and before you leave the house, you are so far down the road towards enjoying your day and maximizing your opportunities that it isn’t even fair to your competitors in the business world. You should tie one hand behind your back because it just won’t be a fair fight. If you keep doing this meditation and morning priming. It’s over, your competition is toast.
But most importantly, it’s about you loving you, taking care of you and giving you the opportunity to be the best version of yourself.
The best version of yourself happens when you are breathing consistently through your nose when you are exercising every day when you are beginning your day with gratitude and thanks for being a part of the living family one more time.
You need to have meaningful conversations every single day you need to share your love and appreciation for others, and to feel appreciated and loved in the process.
And if you don’t know where to start, please let us help you. We will teach you about how to breathe and why it’s so important and from there, the sky is the limit.
Look for the good people in your community and encourage them and throw gas on their fire.
That’s an attitude of gratitude.
